Tajdeed Terms of Service

Plain-language notice. These terms were drafted by the Tajdeed team and have not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. They will be reviewed by a UAE-qualified lawyer and any change will be published here with a new effective date. Nothing here is legal advice.

1. Agreement

By creating a Tajdeed account, installing the Android app, or using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Tajdeed for a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company, and "you" means the company.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.

2. What Tajdeed is

Tajdeed is a software tool that helps you record UAE documents (Emirates ID, residence visa, passport, driving licence, Mulkiya, insurance, trade licence, Ejari and similar), reads expiry dates from uploaded images using AI when you ask it to, and emails you before those dates with the renewal steps and the official portal for each document type.

Tajdeed is not a government service, a PRO service, a typing centre, an insurer or a law firm. We do not renew documents for you, do not file applications on your behalf, and are not affiliated with ICP, GDRFA, RTA, MOHRE, DHA, DLD, RAKEZ or any other authority.

What is available today: the web app in any browser, and an Android app in beta distributed as a direct APK. There is no iOS app yet. Features marked "in development" on our website or in the app (for example WhatsApp reminders, client reports and the renewal pipeline) are not part of any plan until they ship.

3. IMPORTANT: reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee

Please read this section carefully.

1. You remain responsible for your documents. Renewal deadlines, grace periods and fines are set by the relevant authority and can change without notice. It is your responsibility to know and meet them.
2. AI extraction can be wrong. Dates, numbers and names read from an image may be inaccurate, especially from blurry photos, non-standard layouts or Arabic-only documents. You must verify every extracted expiry date against the physical document before saving it. The app shows a confidence score and asks you to confirm; saving a record is your confirmation that you checked it.
3. Reminders may not arrive. Reminders are sent by email to the verified address on the account. Email can be filtered or bounce, you may have paused reminders in Settings, local notifications in the Android app depend on your device settings, and our systems or our email provider can have outages. We make reasonable efforts to send reminders on the scheduled dates, retry failed sends and show delivery status in the app, but we do not guarantee delivery or timing.
4. Fine information is indicative. Any fine, penalty or grace-period figure shown in the app or our marketing is gathered from public sources for general information, is shown with its source and the date we checked it, may be out of date, and varies by emirate, authority and category. It is not a statement of what you will be charged, and Tajdeed does not guarantee that you avoid a fine.
5. No liability for fines, penalties or losses. To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, OpsBreak Technologies is not liable for any fine, late fee, overstay penalty, black points, vehicle impound, visa cancellation, licence suspension, bank account freeze, lost business, or any other direct or indirect loss arising from a missed, late, incorrect or undelivered reminder, an incorrect extracted date, or your reliance on information in Tajdeed.
6. Cap. If we are found liable for anything in connection with Tajdeed, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period (or AED 100 if you are on the Free plan).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law, including for fraud or gross negligence.

4. Your account and acceptable use

• Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and under the accounts of members you invite.
• Reminders are sent only to a verified email address; verify yours after sign-up.
• Only upload documents you are entitled to hold. If you upload documents of employees, family members or clients, you confirm you have a lawful basis to do so and have informed them (see Privacy Policy section 10). Children's documents may be added only by a parent or guardian.
• Do not upload forged or altered documents, use Tajdeed for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access other organisations' data, reverse-engineer the service, or overload our systems (including automated scraping of the API or automated scanning to exhaust AI quotas).
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, after notice where reasonable.

5. Plans and pricing (AED)

All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED) and exclude VAT where applicable. OpsBreak Technologies is not currently VAT-registered; if and when it is, VAT at the applicable rate will be added to business plans and shown at checkout and on invoices, and consumer prices will be shown inclusive of VAT. We never invent a VAT charge that we are not required to collect.

Annual Business and PRO plans give 12 months for the price of 10. Limits are enforced by the service; the full table is on the pricing page. Monthly AI scan credits do not accumulate, scans that fail on our side are refunded, temporary uploads are deleted within 24 hours, and deleting documents does not restore scan credits. Items marked "in development" are not part of the purchased entitlement until they ship.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period.

Founding pilots. While card payments are being switched on we offer a limited number of paid 30-day pilots by invoice: an SME pilot at AED 149 (single admin, up to 25 employees or vehicles, one bounded import that we load, a manually prepared weekly report) and a PRO discovery pilot at AED 499 (single workspace with an explicitly agreed scope, a manually prepared monthly report). Manual deliverables are labelled as manual. You may cancel a pilot at any time; any part of the agreed scope that we do not deliver is refunded; and a pilot never converts to a paid plan without your written acceptance. The price after the pilot is stated in the offer.

6. Payment, renewal and cancellation

• Until card payments are live, paid plans and pilots are invoiced by OpsBreak Technologies and paid by bank transfer or card link; your plan is activated by hand once payment settles. You can cancel by email at any time and your plan runs to the end of the paid period.
• Card payments (when available) are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method for the plan fee at the start of each billing period.
• Renewal. Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans renew every year, automatically, at the then-current price, until you cancel. The total you will be charged and its interval are shown before you confirm.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan → Manage billing (Stripe billing portal) or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not charge cancellation fees.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we will retry and email you. After 14 days without payment your organisation is moved to the Free plan limits; your data is kept (see Privacy Policy section 6) so you can resubscribe.
• Downgrades. If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits, documents, people or members above the limit become read-only until you remove them or upgrade.
• App stores. The Android app is not sold through Google Play today and contains no in-app purchases; subscriptions are bought on the website or by invoice.

7. Refunds

• Annual plans: you may request a full refund within 14 days of the first annual payment, provided you have not used the plan substantially beyond Free-plan limits (more than 3 documents). After 14 days annual fees are non-refundable; cancellation stops the next renewal.
• Monthly plans: monthly fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
• Pilots: undelivered scope is refunded (section 5).
• Our error: if we charged you incorrectly or the service was unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours, email us and we will refund or credit the affected period.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method (or by bank transfer for invoiced plans) within 10 business days of approval.

8. Your content and our service

• You own the documents and data you upload. You grant us a licence to store, process (including sending files you choose to scan to our AI processor, as described in the Privacy Policy) and display it solely to provide the service to you.
• We own the Tajdeed software, brand, document catalogue, and reminder logic. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the app while your account is in good standing.
• You can export your data at any time from Settings (JSON, CSV and calendar feed). On account closure we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Reports you prepare from Tajdeed data for your own clients are your responsibility.

9. Service changes and availability

We may update, add or remove features. We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security or legal reasons, with notice where practical. If we discontinue Tajdeed we will give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.

10. Third-party services

Tajdeed depends on Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, file storage, email and AI inference through Amazon Bedrock) and, once card payments are live, Stripe. We are not responsible for their outages or changes, but will work to keep the service running if a provider changes.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the regulations of the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) as applicable to free-zone companies. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably within 30 days of written notice will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
